It’s interesting. A couple of times while spinning the trio-band of sisters, Haim’s, Days Are Gone I felt like I was listening to Thriller with it’s slightly dance-pop feel and crooning vocals. It was . . . “thrilling?” But seriously, it must be pretty cool to be in Haim. To be talented and hip, well-regarded, and coolly charismatic, and to get to hang out all the time with two of your favorite people. Your siblings.
Suggested Use: Spending time with siblings. In my case it might have to be “spending time with sibdren” (sibdren is my conglomerative term for nieces and nephews; it’s a portmanteau of sorts composed of the words sibling and children; now you know), because, though this album has just enough indie/artpop cred for me, I’m not sure this album is ‘rock’ enough for my brother, whereas his kids … well, they’re little and will dance to nearly anything with a beat.
